About Me

Hi friends!  Welcome to my blog!  I hope you enjoy what you find here and that you are entertained, inspired, and all that jazz...

I am a Midwesterner, but currently living in the deep south, trying to understand this crazy culture while attending graduate school at Mississippi College.

I've been married to my best friend, Matt, for a little over two years.  God has blessed us in so many ways, from every goofy made-up song about mundane things to every fight over finances.   It all strengthens our love for one another, and I hope we continue to keep Christ the center of it all.

We are the "parents" to two of the quirkiest dogs ever.  JoJo is our 4-year old bichon frise who acts more like a cat than a dog, loves to snuggle, and is scared to walk on wet grass.  McGhee is our 2-year old pembroke welsh corgi who likes to steal the limelight from JoJo and has a comical butt-waddle to his walk.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance...and I use both degrees equally.  By day I am a graduate student in a Biology program, by night I am a piano teacher, accompanist, and performer.  I hope to go to medical school or work in research in the future.  I want to never stop having a passion for music.

I am a Christian.  I'm not defined by a religious denomination but by my personal relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I typically don't go out of my way to share my faith with others (this blog is an attempt), but I hope to demonstrate my faith by honoring Christ in all I do...easier said than done.

I love being random.  One of my favorite sounds is the falling of bowling pins after a strike.  I am a "cool nerd".  I think the original Star Wars Trilogy is epic and is one of the best movie franchises in cinema history.  I like crafts.  I often start another project before one is finished.  I love food.  I'm usually hungry again 20 minutes after eating a meal.  I could live off of beef jerky and applesauce. If you don't know me well, I seem really quiet, serious, or even snotty.  If you know me well I am loud and crazy, passionate, and fun-loving.

...thanks for stopping by, and don't be afraid to say hi! Look at that, I made a rhyme :)
